Louise's Great Manchester Run!
Our very own Louise Panayides ran The Great Manchester Run this year! She ran the route in 1hour 11 minutes. All of the money she raised will be going to The Christie Charitable Fund.
The Christie charity raises money to fund projects at The Christie NHS Foundation Trust, which are outside the scope of the NHS. The Christie is one of Europe’s leading cancer centres, treating over 40,000 patients a year.
Based in Manchester it serves a population of 3.2 million across Greater Manchester & Cheshire, but as a national specialist around 15% of patients are referred from other parts of the country. It provides radiotherapy through one of the largest radiotherapy departments in the world; chemotherapy on site and through 14 other hospitals; highly specialist surgery for complex and rare cancer; and a wide range of support and diagnostic services.
